College has gotten complicated over the last few days. Signed myself up for what’s called an ‘Extended Project’. It’s essentially where you write about anything of your choice relating to the subjects you took at A2 level and hand it in for marking.
Unfortunately, the project has to be about 5000 words, which is hard when you’re not entirely sure of what you’re doing. Never mind. Wimbledons finally kicked off. There’s been a lot of controversy over one of the players. Her names Michelle Larcher de Brito. Lots of people are annoyed at the fact that she seems to scream like a trapped bear every time that she hits the ball, and this ‘could distract the other player’. Apparently she can be heard three courts away. Now, I used to think tennis was boring. After watching one of her matches my opinion was changed.
On top of this, in another match a 15 year old girl got a knee in the face after a player named Michael Llodra attempted to hit a wide ball and instead skidded into the umpires chair, and the girls face. Most unexpected tennis incident ever?. I’d hate to be that girl, though. First she gets a knee in the face. Public humiliation. She then has to go to school and be sniggered at by people pointing and going, “That’s Knee-In-The-Face girl”. I wish her luck.
