Parents Evening

Monday morning - Back to college. Parents evening tonight. I'm not going to beat around the bush here; I'm not a fan. Basically what it involves each year is the same standard procedure which as as follows:

1 - The Build Up

You've got the drive to college, with your parents continuously asking, "So what can we expect to here?" This stage is one of the worst because occasionally your eyes will flash and you'll have a premonition of being sat in a chair sweating buckets whilst being absolutely pounded [ verbally ] by a teacher.

2 - The Walk

Next you've got the walk to the classroom. This stage involves clutching a sheet with your interview times on it, with your eyes darting around in your head, family lagging behind and one of them saying, "What's the rush?"

3 - The Chair of Destiny

You take your seat on the chair of destiny, parents and teacher exchange an awkward handshake, and you all sit down.
