Longleat Zoo

Went to Longleat Zoo yesterday. Now - I have my off days; Days where I like to laze around the house and do absolutely nothing. The difference is - I don't charge people to watch. Unfortunately for us - Longleat Zoo do.

After being told the monkey drive-through route was closed (Which usually involves watching monkeys tearing off the windscreen wipers of Ford Fiestas) we went straight to the next drive-through section - The lions and tigers.

You know you've been dealt a poor card when the only time the lion gets off his arse is to stretch and then go back to sleep. Because the park was fairly busy, and there were alot of people in cars ahead of us marvelling at this site, we were also forced to watch this lion "gymnastics" multiple times. I had a chicken strip at lunchtime and I'm pretty sure that it moved more than the lions and tigers combined did on that day.

After the safari drive and chicken strip it was already near closing time, so we went to the maze. We walked up to the maze entrance, and were told that it was ultimately pointless going in as the park was closing any minute. Nobody told us however, that the maze was infact run by a lady who seemed to feel that her life depended on ensuring we didn't go in. She was very persistent.
